START FLOOR SANDING

Before growth club, I was working on carpets, stone and after going on the basic floor Sanding course run by Terry Guildford from Ultimate floor care I got involved with floor sanding. After being a customer of Terry’s for around 2 years I was then introduced to growth club Where I was given so many recommendations on how to expand and grow my business. This included tips on marketing plans, how to employ more staff, and the correct manner in how to do this. Since joining the growth club I feel that thanks to the help and guidance of everyone at growth club my business is getting bigger with more staff and an overall happier team. It has also given me the confidence to increase my costing per square meter from £35 to £55 and target the right clientele I have been looking for since I started. Increasing my turnover over a 3 month period by 28.5%. The best thing about growth club is the fact you feel comfortable with all the other members sharing experiences, good and bad to better each other and learn from other's success and mistakes. Pierre and Terry have helped me dramatically in my business and in myself, so glad I met up with these guys and always looking forward to the next meeting.

My Company specializes in floor sanding, stone restoration, and carpet cleaning, we are running a team of 6 working off 2 vans. Since joining the growth club I have been given great ideas from a business strategy point of view to simplify the processes I already had in place. Before joining the growth club my business was successful but always been keen to grow more and growth club has been great for this. The guys at growth club have given me more motivation with developing and inspiring the workforce to push for better and targeting the correct clientele. with more marketing platforms and easier systems of work to be implemented into the running of my business. I’ve been Given great ideas and advise to make changes to the business. Everything that is said in the meetings is important and is taken on board and implemented around my day-to-day running of the business. Not only my business but the club has helped me with my personal development and how to manage my team better. Including all the useful books that were recommended by Pierre.

I have been in the business of cleaning rugs, carpets and floor sanding before joining growth club I Had 2 members of staff. Since joining I have been able to increase my staffing levels to 4 members. Growth club has given me great ideas that I am implementing in my business like following up on quotes, structuring my staffs day and offering more incentives to them like bonus schemes. Since the growth club I feel like it has transformed my business by implementing systemization on all aspects of my business from staff moral to the way jobs are handled, documenting everything, and keeping all staff members up to the same standards. Since understanding the full potential of pricing and worth of the service we provide in this industry by talking to the other members has allowed me to increase our pricing by 70% without seeing a fall in the amount of work coming in.

Being in the floor sanding and carpet cleaning industry for around 12 years as a one-man band joining apart of Growth Club has had a major impact on my business. It has shown me by using services that are available to me can make the running of my business much easier. After finding out the worth of the service I provide I have increased my square meter price for floor sanding from £30 - £45 increasing my profit by around 25%. I can now recruit more staff to expand the business. With the guidance and support this is now possible.
